Description
CAPE ROYAL SUNSET GRAND CANYON NORTH RIM VIEW - Cape Royal Viewpoint at Sunset North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA United States of America
The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in Arizona, United States. The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (6,093 feet or 1,857 meters). Cape Royal is the southernmost viewpoint on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park so the panorama you'll see is hard to beat. In fact, it has the widest panorama of any overlook in the Grand Canyon. The great gorge occupies about 270 degrees of the horizon from Marble Canyon in the north, south over Palisades of the Desert and westward for many miles to the main South Rim visitor area around Garden Creek. Among many sites are Vishnu Temple and Wotans Throne. The Colorado River is visible to the east.
