Castle Combe, Water lane, with bridge over the By brook, on to The Street, Castle Combe village, Castle Combe, Cotswolds, Wiltshire, England, United Kingdom ,Great Britain, Europe
Castle Combe is a village and civil parish within the Cotswolds Area of Natural Beauty in Wiltshire, England. The village lies about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of the town of Chippenham.
The village has two parts: one is in the narrow valley of the By Brook, while Upper Castle Combe is on higher ground to the east, on the B4039 road which links Chippenham with Chipping Sodbury. A motor racing circuit is to the south of the upper village.
The village was a location for the 1967 film musical Doctor Dolittle, but its frequently rainy summer climate, and the residents' irritation at the producers' modifications of the area for shooting that was severe enough to incite attempted sabotage – including by British Army officer (and future explorer) Sir Ranulph Fiennes – frustrated production....
Neale's taken photos for as long as he can remember and can't imagine not being photographer. He was already processing his own film and shooting with an SLR in primary school! We met at University and discovered a shared passion for travel and artwork. We've since travelled the world shooting together but the travel has always been completely linked to photography and somehow very little compares to the magic of capturing a new location in the perfect light. We hope that these images capture the feeling that we had when we saw that light and really portray the atmosphere of the locations. They've been used all over the planet to illustrate books, magazines, travel brochures, calenders and websites. Maybe they would look good on your wall!...
