Carrapateira is a village on the western coast of the Algarve, Portugal. Administratively, it is part of the civil parish of Bordeira, within the municipality of Aljezur, in the Faro District. Its landmarks include an old fort and a church. The nearby beaches are a popular surfing destination.
Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park is a natural park in the Alentejo and Algarve regions of south-central Portugal.
It is one of the 30 Natural Park areas which are officially under Portuguese protection in the country
Ammophila is a genus of flowering plants consisting of two or three very similar species of grasses. The common names for these grasses include marram grass, bent grass, and beachgrass. These grasses are found almost exclusively on the first line of coastal sand dunes.
